It has been seven years since I announced the Shun Nokina Design Surcustom - Zolo 17Band EQ at Winter NAMM in 2012, and during that time, I have been working on the design and commercialization of graphic equalizers for a long time, so much so that it could be said to be my life's work. With SNDSC's "Zolo 17Band EQ" (unreleased) as the flagship, it has been my recent idea to release a universal, full-spec, 10-band class smallest graphic equalizer from Rectic. The sound image and structure design are the culmination of all my previous designs, including the idea of ultra-HiFi original sound processing using the LT1498 op-amp, the high-precision Gyrator design, the boost configuration using LTC1144, and the hybrid of SMD/DIP components.
The 10-band frequency setting according to the ISO Standard allows for an extremely wide range of sound creation, which is the upper and lower limits of the human audible range. Starting from 31Hz, which produces (suppresses) the "box resonance," to 16kHz, which can be said to control the metallic presence of the strings, it includes a sufficient number of bands that are extremely important for guitar and bass, and each of these can be boosted/cut by ±18dB, the highest in its class for a compact effector.
Before turning on the 10Band EQ, set all 11 fader controls to 0% (you will feel a click in the middle of the fader. If you fix it here, it will be 0%, and if you raise it any higher, the specified frequency range will be processed in the boost direction, and if you raise it any higher, the specified frequency range will be processed in the cut direction.) Then, turn it on and you will be able to experience its extremely high original sound reproduction ability. At the same time, it is extremely low noise, so by setting all faders to 0%, it becomes a good buffer that reduces impedance. From there, first boost/cut the red (blue LED) fader controls one by one from the left, and you will immediately understand what frequency range each one affects audibly. The white LED Level control is Post-Boost/Cut, so after you have finished setting all the bands, you can boost/cut the volume without interfering with any of them. It can be the last piece of a sound system that fine-tunes several bands with pinpoint accuracy, and it can also be used to make extreme frequency settings that decisively change the sound quality for both clean and distortion. You can create a jazzy tone with boosted low mids and tamed treble, or connect it after an extreme distortion effect like "11/11" to boldly cut the mids and boost the presence for an even more extreme Modern Djent sound, or extend the original direction of the effect by further boosting the mid range of your favorite TS pedal, or connect it to the send/return of your favorite amp to further enrich the sound quality...The 10band EQ offers the ultimate solution, like a secret trick, when it comes to "creating sound".
This effect is the only one in the 10-band class that can use a normal 9V adapter or 9V battery, and has a boost circuit built in that doubles the drive voltage, so even without a control like Gain (Pre-Gain), you can choose your preferred drive voltage from a 9 to 18V adapter and output a clean, distortion-free, purely frequency-processed sound with sufficient headroom for any situation. This is not only great for use with guitars, but also matches perfectly with other electronic instruments such as bass.
We are also offering four color variations in our first regular lineup of Leqtique pedals. We hope you will choose the design that best matches your pedal board from among the heavy-duty Matte Black (Red or Blue LED), CLHD Swirled (Blue LED), one of the concept colors from the 2012 prototype, and RED Swirled (Red LED), which has the strongest image in SND.
Regular Finish: Matte Black(RED or BLUE LED), CLHD Swirled, RED Swirled
